Google spends $5 million on lobbying | New Europe ;...Google’s lobbying Congress on a multitude of issues, such online advertising, copyright and patents, cybersecurity, online privacy and “do-not-track” laws and high-tech education and immigration.
The documents given to the U.S. Senate secretary's office, show that the company has been lobbying with the Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA): the Cyber Intelligence Sharing and Protection Act (CISPA),which has been approved by the US House; the Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement (ACTA) and the Consumer Privacy Bill of Rights.
